Tax Relief

Over the past four years I’m proud to have voted and spoken out against tax increases and expansions on everyday Marylanders.

The majority party in Annapolis has never found a tax they don’t like.  These frequent tax hikes has left Maryland as one of the worst places in America for retirees.  Retirees who have spent their life living in Maryland and supporting their local economy should have the option to stay in Maryland without the frequent tax hikes.

I’m proud to have co-sponsored Governor Hogan’s efforts to eliminate 100% of state retirement taxes.  While legislation was passed to give tax credits to our retirees, I believe more relief is needed, as the tax credits do not go far enough.
